About
Enoch Tourism started in 2020 and has since worked on ground-breaking projects. Starting from a grassroots foundation, Enoch Tourism is committed to preserving and sharing the beauty of our culture. Tourism in Enoch is not new; we have always proudly practiced our traditions and welcomed our neighbours and visitors to share in our rich culture. Enoch Tourism has been working hard to formalize cultural tourism in our community, and doing so in a way that would make our ancestors proud. We are prioritizing the social, economic, environmental, and cultural benefits that tourism can provide for our community.
The growth of cultural tourism in Enoch will continue so that community members are encouraged and empowered to use tourism as a means for strengthening their connection with their culture, healing and sharing what is appropriate with visitors whether Indigenous or non-Indigenous people, and creating lasting social and economic benefits for themselves, their families, and their community.
Currently we are focused on two essential spaces: the proposed Cultural Interpretive Centre and the Traditional Grounds & Interpretive Area. However, we also continue to plan and execute events. Our past events include art walks, night markets, and holiday markets.
Enoch’s Tourism Department will lead this journey, ensuring an inclusive and community-wide approach that honours our home, culture, and our people.

Instilling pride in our youth to practice their culture while encouraging tourism as a viable career opportunity.
Supporting our artisans, cultural carriers, and entrepreneurs to share their skills and knowledge with others.
Providing opportunities for meaningful economic participation for our people which promotes sustainable growth of our local economy.

Our Logo,
Our Brand
The Cree name that Enoch’s Tourism Department was given is
ᓀᐊᔹᐠᐱᒫᑎᓱᐃᐧᐣ
nêwayak pimâtisiwin
(nêwayak) means 4 directions/ways/places/seasons
(pimâtisiwin) means way of life
This name is important and keeps Enoch Tourism grounded first and foremost in nêhiyaw culture and teachings.
The Tourism Department’s logo was designed and adapted to reflect these teachings.
